An extended course description is as states: An overview of the criminal justice system, its philosophy and history of its three major components: police, courts, corrections. A broad- based interdisciplinary analysis of the problems and needs of agencies involved in the criminal justice process; and introduction to theories of crime; and a survey of professional career opportunities for criminal justice.
